What is an inhaler?
The anatomy of the respiratory system discriminates against the delivery of substances whose diameter exceeds 5 µm (micrometers, or microns). Performing inhalations with particles larger than this is only advisable if you want to reach the nasal cavity, the larynx or the trachea. Reaching the sinus cavities, bronchial tree or alveoli is only possible with very fine particle sizes.
