Le batterie a gel sono adatte per utilizzi in modalità tampone, ovvero dove ci sia una richiesta di corrente costante, ad esempio: gruppi di continuità (UPS), sistemi d'allarme e domotici, backup per sistemi di videosorveglianza, lampade di emergenza.
