Acar R8 POWER is a 16-amp protection device from the Acar family with enhanced surge protection. The device has eight grounded power outlets, sufficient in most cases to power all loads. It uses a reinforced circuit breaker that is resistant to large current surges that occur, for example, when switching on computer power supplies (desktop and laptop).

The mains switch is equipped with a hinged protective cover to prevent accidental switching. The unit's built-in enhanced surge protection circuit provides protection for all power lines and dissipates surge energy to ground via the PE protective conductor. The device has an indicator of the correct operation of the surge protection system. Mounting brackets are standard equipment of the device.
