Esta cuerda está diseñada para la seguridad y la protección en caso de caída desde una altura vertical. La cuerda de anclaje puede deslizarse libremente a lo largo de la línea y se bloqueará en caso de una sacudida repentina -por ejemplo, en caso de una caída inaudita- y así detendrá su caída de forma segura.
La resistencia de la cuerda de seguridad es de 15 kN y puede someterse a cargas de hasta 100 kg. La longitud de la cuerda es de 10 metros y tiene un diámetro de 12 mm. Tiene una goma de plástico en un lado y un lazo cosido en el otro.
